What to Wear:

  • Any attire you can move comfortably in. Depending on your comfort level, you may be rolling on the floor.

What you will need for in person lessons:

  • You only need to bring yourself.

  • You are welcome to bring relevant items such as instruments you play or items you use regularly to explore how you use them.

What you will need for virtual lessons:

  • you need enough space to move and an electronic device to use Zoom.

  • We usually use a chair with a back, but we can always work with what you have.

  • It is not required, but getting an exercise ball is highly recommended to help explore movement and the specific type of Alexander Technique taught.

  • If you feel comfortable on the floor, try to have enough space to roll once and fully extend your body.

  • If it is more comfortable for laying on the floor or rolling, you may have a yoga mat available.

Therapy Dog In Office: Lucy works at Cyclical Psychotherapy and Movement Collective as a therapy dog. She has a crate in the office if you have a dog allergy, have a fear of dogs, or simply prefer her to stay in her crate. We regularly clean and sanitize the space, but we cannot guarantee there will be no pet dander or allergens due to her working regularly in the office.
